D-Style Patlabor Series Ingram1 AV-98

Hi Everyone,

It's been quite awhile since I last review on Gunpla.. but now I've found sometime to do some review works again.. :-) This round, I will be reviewing another bootleg kits from a company in china using double rabbit logo.. really funny huh.. but it's rather nice quality I can say.. including the fine detailing and also the 98% snap fit possible. Well, without further wasting of time.. here goes..

The Finish Product of Ingram 1 Av-98

====================
Manufacturer: Double Rabbit
Scale: Non Scale
Series: SD
Origin: Pat labor series Ingram1 Av-98
Price: Normal price - RM 30
Estimated Time Completion: 2 hours
Actual Time Completion: 1.5 hours

Inner Frame
- Nope.. this kit doesn't have any inner frame.

Joints/Articulation
- This kit is mostly using the ball join.. the ABS that provided, not really fit especially on the shoulder parts, so inorder to solve it, I will lay a small thin layer of mr.cement and let it dry, than only slot it back.
- Articulation is just normal, where you can actually do some post here and there.. but not as great as Gundam SD.

Exterior Armour
- Plastic quality was in glossy and the detailing is fine.
- Pre-painted for some of the colors.. which is a little annoying because the gate is place on the pre-painted parts.. where when I trim off the excessive gate, I will see white color plastic that needs to touch up the lost colors.. T_T.. more work.. as I like to manually paint it.
- There're no stickers/decals for this kits because it's all added to the parts itself.

Interior Eye Frame
- There's a eye frame for this Ingram1, maybe for those people who are lazy to add in light can just paint it..
- I've drill a small hole but unable to fit in even a small size LED.. after trying to dig a bigger hole, I eventually break the thing into 2 pieces.. T_T...
- To solve this issue, I've just cement the 2 plastic parts together with the LED.. hehe..
- The source of the power to light up the LED is 2 LR41 1.5v battery that I bought from the DIY stores.

Buying Recommendation
- If you are in a budget constrain, this is a good choice.
- If you are looking forward to painting and modding, do get this :)
- Seriously recommend this kit because it's 95% same as the original, but if compare the decals than it's not all the same.
- Original kits actually cost around RM56 to RM 65.. but this bootleg kit is around RM25 to RM30, so it's actually half the price of the original.
- But for sure I would still say this, if you really have the money and still don't trust other brand than KOTOBUKIYA.. Don't buy :)

Cheers.
